Nature and Scope

The Physical Therapy Assistant implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary physical therapist to optimize the functional abilities and skills of patient's. You will works with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient. Instructs/Communicates with patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the physical therapist. You will provide timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory and reimbursement requirements and support and participate in department operations and development.

Location

We are located 2077 E. Main Street Quincy, CA 95971 and 127 Crescent St C, Greenville, CA 95947. You will be traveling between both offices. 

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience

 

Compensation Range:

$35.75 - $50.97 / hour

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an APTA accredited school physical therapy. Current license as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in CA. Current CPR certification..

 

Experience:

Outpatient, and Acute/Transitional experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred. On the job training offered.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates respectful conversation in tone and content. Assures patient privacy. Actively involves the parent/guardian in care/teaching.

 

Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and submits patient charges accurately to provide appropriate billing information.
  • Uses professional judgment to ensure safety of self, patient's and other and others at all times.
  • Achieves quality patient care through interdisciplinary cooperation, teamwork and effective communication.
  • Attends required meetings as designated by the Rehab Manager.
  • Effectively communicates with therapist concerning patient's response to treatment plan.

Child Care:

PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application, our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved, we will start the enrollment process.
